Seth looked over at Apep. They had traveled quite a distance. "You can rest, if you would like," Seth offered Apep a break. Seth stayed by the stream and lowered his head to drink from it. The water was cool and refreshing.
Utah raised his head. He didn't expect Spirit would want to talk to him after all that had gone on. "Oh, I see. She did do a fine good raising you. Without you Niga and I would still be back their for some one to come by or hear us," he said. He smiled a little to Spirit. Utah still felt a little odd being around here. He remember quite a bit of his homeland and the herd, but not a ton. He had gone through a lot since he had gotten separated from the herd many years ago.

"She's really missed you.Some days,when I was a colt,she stare up at the clouds,and I'd talk to her and she didn't seem to hear me."The filly between them slid back slightly,and Spirit nudged her forward."I've just become a father today you know.It's going to be hard.My sire died soon after I was born."Spirit gazed at Temon.He still looked so familiar."i have a feeling I've met you before."
Apep laid down beside the stream,his paws barely lying in the water."Dark is coming on fast."He said.He then sniffed the air."A storm too."

"Is that so? Colt or a filly?" he asked. He never knew what it was like to be a father. "You're lucky to have a family...I too did not have a father in my life. I've been on my own for many years. My herd is the only family I've had." Utah kept helping Niga along the way.
Seth looked at Apep. "It's always a pleasure to have you around my friend," Seth almost whispered. Seth laid down beside the small stream bank and just listened to the sounds around him. For a horse with so much hatred in him, he could be real calm and patient at times. Seth liked the life he lived. It was always just him and Apep. It had been that way for years.

The wolf closed his eyes as rain gently began to drip onto his silvery pelt.He would awake in a few hours,then then horse hunt would begin.
Spirit smiled sheepishly."Both.Twins."He said.He was proud of the fact he'd produced a multiple birth.Not many stallions could do that."I was a twin.My sister,Dark Sunshine passed soon after birth.Rain and I are thinking of trying for one more soon."Spirit heard him say he had never had much of a family."Maybe you'll find your some one.In the place you least expect them."

"I guess," Utah said. It started to rain lightly. Luckily they we're getting close to the herds.
Seth relaxed by the stream still just listening to the sounds.

They got into the herd and Spirit then lead them into the sleeping valley.
Apep woke a couple hours later.His coat was soaked,but he didn't care.Seth had fallen asleep."Wake up."Apep said nudging him.

Niga laid down after they got to the sleeping valley. Utah walked over to Forest and said, "Keep an eye on her over night, would you?" Utah walked away and up to Spirit. He sighed, "Well at lest we made it back safely." Utah then saw a mare coming toward them, he recognized her. And then he saw Temon coming.
Seth woke up right away when Apep had nudged him. "Is it night fall," he asked a bit sleepily.

Apep nodded."by the time we get there it will be past dusk."
The mare,His mother,Esperanza ran towards him."oh my baby!"She squealed.

Utah got a little nervous and tense. He gave a nervous smile. He looked over at Spirit. "So, this is mom," he said. He had never had a mare react this way. It was all new to him.
"Alright then," Seth said as he got up. "Led the way, if you please."

She pranced around him,but noticing his tense look,calmed down."Yes.I am your mother.And I have missed you so."
Apep knew it would be difficult to track the scents,but found them any way and when he did,he howled to tell all other creatures to stay out of his way.The hunt had begun.

Utah still found it hard to believe that after all this years both his parents were still around. "I've missed you, too," he said to her.
Temon came up to the both of them. "That's my boy," he said. He smiled, glad to see his son being able to see his mother again and being able to be around his father.
Utah felt a little uneasy. With all the attention he was getting. He then thought he heard a howl in the distance.
Seth followed Apep's every step.

"Come,son.Sleep.It must have been a hard day for you.Your herd is well mixed with ours,I think they will want to stay."
Apep stopped in some bushes and lay flat on his belly.The herd was still awake,or some of it was.He must stay downwind and hidden."Shh..."He said As Seth approached.

Utah looked around and saw that Esperanza was right. The only ones he could find of his herd were Forest and Niga. Forest had stayed with Niga like Utah had asked. Utah nodded.
"You found them?," Seth whispered.

"Yes.Quiet now.Some are still awake."Apep hissed quietly.
The mother laid down on the grass,smiling as her love settled on one side of her,and her son on the other.

To Utah this all felt odd to him. He thought for a moment,when everyone is a sleep, I'll go for a quiet walk to help calm myself down.
Seth said quietly, "I do not wish to attack when there are so many around. We'll have to wait awhile."
