The hermit when to work. Giving the animal a special herb he had come up with to help knock him out for a while to work on him so he would not feel anything.

Iorek had fallen into a sleep-like state, though his eyes were half-open and he could talk some, though not much, and the words he did speak were slurred and made hardly any sense.
"Hush now."Jenny soothed as she stepped a bit closer."You need not speak."

With in a hour or two, the hermit was done and stitching him back up.

The anesthetic starting to wear off made Iorek want to move, but he remained still,thanking the kind man for saving his life with his eyes,knowing he'd understand that.Once he was fully stitched, Iorek got to his feet,slowly but surely.
