"Without the stable rest,he might be off for the month,maybe more depending on how much he might move."The vet said.He touched Bandit's neck before heading towards the stable door.

The stable master followed after the vet. Asking a few more questions as they headed toward the main house. Bandit snorted as the vet left. He was feeling a bit angry about the whole thing now. "Great, now I"m stuck in here for the next week or two," he grumbled.
"You're luck you didn't brake it," Eight Belles said. "What were you thinking?! Jumping that fence like that."
"I was trying to get out of here," he said.
"For what reason," Eight Belles said.
Bandit looked at her. "I don't want to talk about it," he said as he turned away from her.

Angel couldn't take it."Was it because I'm not crazy about you?Is it because your jealous?Guess what?You can go ahead and tell the whole stable it's because of me,because,I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want to hurt you,but I'm MARRIED!"She paused to take a breath."Maybe next year,I won't even come back,I'll stay home and I'll start a family with my HUSBAND!"

Bandit sighed and started to lay down on the far side of the stall on he's left side to protect he's leg.
"Bandit! Don't! You may not be able to get back up," Eight Belles said.
"What should I care," Bandit said. "It's over. I'm finished."

"YOU DIDN'T...."Angel let her voice soften."You didn't listen.It shouldn't hurt after a few weeks.Now....buck up,mister,and maybe things'll surprise you."Over the next week,Angel's eyes lit up every time a stallion went by her,because she was experiencing her first heat cycle.She let her tail fly excitedly,and was almost too hyper for handling.

Bandit was still on stall rest. He didn't move around much. He was ready to start moving soon. He was getting tired of just hanging around the stable.

Angel hung out near fence lines or when she was in her stall,she stood watching Bandit for hours at a time,which might have been of annoyance to him.A few days later,the vet came back and to everyone's relief,Bandit could be out and about again.

Bandit whinnied happily to the vet's announcement. "Finally," he said.
Eight Belles whinnied as well.

"I want to get out of here," Bandit said as he pawed at the stall door. He wanted to go out and run around.
"If you go out, just don't try to jump anymore fences like that again," Eight Belles warned.
