Chat box being weird???

for some reason if I type something in the chat-box below, it will show it there, but as soon as I go to another page my post disappears. It's been doing that to me for the last two days. Is it happening to anyone else?

yeah, I've done everything. refreshing it, refreshing my window, everything. I've never had a problem with it like this. there was that one time if wouldn't ever show anything at all, but that only took a freshing of the window.
