"Oh,....yeah."Angel said,picking it up and looking at the underside.She had recently been shod and it wasn't as bad as her father had said."If I didn't have them,I'd maybe go out."She now felt bored,but she watched the lightning flash again and a loud crack of thunder made her boredom become replaced with fear as she moved to a black corner of her stall."I wish Dad was here."She said quietly.

Eight Belles looked at her. "Don't worry. Nothing will happen," she said as she nuzzled Angel in a friend way to show she was there for her.

Angel began to rock herself,pretending her mother was there,and so was her dad,and her seven siblings,that they were all nestled together.That was how she finally got to sleep.
