"Well, I wanted to show her this really cool old tree that looks a bit like an angry horse, but she got bored with that pretty quick and so we started to play tag and we weren't paying attention to where we were going and....yeah."He finished somewhat lamely.
"Rebel I thought we told you not to go into the forest without an adult."Sage sighed.
"But Granddam said it was alright."He protested.
"I'll be having a word with your mother,Utah.She seems to be losing it a bit if you ask me."
"Fortunately, You are entitled to your opinion.But I must point out that I am not 'losing it' as you put it my dear.Rebel is just stretching the truth a bit."Esperanza said, walking up behind them.She eyed her grandson but then continued."You see, I said they may go to the edge of the forest where the trees are, so Lyra might see the tree he speaks of, but I did not give permission to enter the trees."
