Spirit,hearing his son,said,"I was more than that.I was a monster.Your granddam was scared of me,and for me.I was always picking fights,pulling off stunts that nearly always resulted in my death.I scared her so badly when I was taken away,she thought they'd kill me.And If it hadn't been for your mother's past owner,I would have been."He raised his head again,picking at a dandelion,which he knew Rain had told him not to eat,because they turned him into a maniac.He wanted to see what Thunder would do.Would he assert himself?

Thunder cocked his head.He never thought his father could be a maniac.Remembering his mother joking around,telling him to watch if spirit ate a dandelion,He seen Spirit pick one.Laughing,he stomped the dandelion

"Hey."The buckskin stallion said.He then picked a mouthful of grass and blew it into his colt's face.While he was playfully blinded,Spirit tugged his ears and began to try and wrestle his on to the ground.

Snorting,Th8under pulled and managed to get out.Laughing,He wrapped his legs around Spirit and put him into a head lock

His father raced him,and was pleased to see the colt use his trick to his advantage.He thought of his father,would he have done such things with him if he could've?
