Spirit didn't want her to suffer on her first foal.he did as he had done for rain,he prayed to Equus to channel her pain to him.Out of nowhere,pain struck his belly like lightning.He grit his teeth,and a whimper escaped him.

Utah stared at Spirit, wondering what was going on.
A few moments later, Jade's pain had stopped and the foal was finally out. She sighed. She did not sit up. She stayed laying down.

She was taking deep breathes. She was shaking a bit and was covered in sweat. She felt like she couldn't answer. She need to take it easy.

Jade started to calm her breathing. She looked back to see the colt. He was a rich buckskin color. With black stocking and no markings at all. She laid her head back down. "It feel like I've been struck by lightning," she said sighing a deep sigh.

Jade looked back up and over at Esperanza. "Of course not. I wouldn't name him that," she said. "I know a better name." She looked at the foal. "I'll name him Barak," she said.
