"Sir," said the one groom. "Maybe we could give her a go. She could be a training parter from the racehorses." "That's an idea," he said. "Alright, go ahead and get these two off to the dirty trail and exercise them."

The track was a simple dirt path that went around in a large oval. That's how all the tracks were back in those days. But yet, it was still impressive for a new horse. The grass was short. There were flowers around and a small pond in the center with two weeping-willow trees by it. Eight Belles was led by a rider up to the path. "What do you think," she asked.

"It's very sheltered,so barely any wind runs here."She said."It's alright though."She thought for a minute,"How do you tell them you want to gallop?"She said.

"Just wait until we get out there," Eight Belles laughed. "You'll get to in a minute."

"oh."She said. She had never run with a human on her back,so she for some reason she wondered if this was what being bred felt like.

ooc: I know it's long. Sorry, I wanted to get some new characters in. You'll see when you read it.
Eight Belles's rider clicked to her and she broke out into a beautiful lengthy gallop. Her tail flat and streaming. Her mane whipping in the wind. Her black coat shining in the sunlight. Her nostrils flared. She and the rider almost blurred together as one as they went.
Temon was nearing the humans. There were horses all around in fenced in fields that Temon could see from where he was standing. He walked down the hills and to the fields. A bay stallion over by a fence watching some mares running around caught the scent of a new stallion near by. One he had never smelt before. He pinned his ears back and stormed away from the fence and charged up to the upper rail of the fence as Temon walked by. The bay stallion stopped and reared up whinnying as he raised and landed. Temon stopped, not on bit of fear in him over this new young stallion. "What are you doing here in my territory," the stallion demanded. "Your territory," Temon questioned. "More like the humans' territory." The bay stallion snorted. "Never mind that," he said. "Who are you and what are you doing here? You're definitely not a Thoroughbred and not one of the our horses." "My name's Temon. I have come looking for fillies," Temon said knowing that the saying 'looking for fillies' would upset this fenced-in stallion. The bay stallion whinnied in anger and snorted. He began to pace the fence line. Ears pinned back as far as they could go. "You stay away from my fillies and my mares," the bay stallion said. Temon laughed a bit. "I'm sorry, I meant two fillies," Temon said. "I'm looking for a paint coated one and a black filly. Have you seen them?" "Oh, well that's different," the stallion said as he calmed down and his ears came forward for the first time since he had seen this stallion. "Yes, I have seen those two. They headed for the track path a while ago. Oh, by the way, the name's Bandit." "Nice to meet you, Bandit," Temon said calmly. He wonder why the stallion was no longer angry about him looking for these two. "Why all the sudden no anger," he asked. "Because Eight Belles is Argo's filly," Bandit said. "Not sure about the other one. She's not a Thoroughbred, is she?" "No, she's not. She a mix. A wild filly," he said. "Oh, then the humans will probably only use her to pony or as some say an exercise horse," he said. "They won't breed her, will they" Temon asked. He wasn't to familiar with some of the racing terms now a days. He only knew about racing itself, he didn't know much about what the humans called things. "Of course not," Bandit said. "They wouldn't mix bred us with wild mares." Temon hated the way Bandit has said that, but decided to let it go. "So, why do they let you guys out on the off season, if they do not want you to breed to other horses or getting the mares pregnant to other mixed stallion," he asked. "Well, not all the humans do that," Bandit said. "Our humans do to keep some of us happy." "So, are you ever let out," he asked. "Every now and then, unless they need me to do some stuff over the off season," Bandit said. "What about the mares and fillies," he asked. "They only let those who are the kind of mares who will keep other stallions away from them," he said. "Like Eight Belles. She wouldn't let another stallion bred to her in a hundred years when she's out in the wild. She knows the rules," Bandit said. "What do you mean by," Temon asked. "The humans have their way of taking care of the foals if they are let to be born," he said. "Our humans will mostly wait until the fillies or mares are not longer allowed to race to breed to them, but the mares or fillies that do get pregnant, will lose their career and once they have had their foal, the foal will be sold off as soon as possible. And then they will use the mares to breed to," Bandit said. "Oh," Temon said. "No wonder some of the off season horses are so picky about stallions. What about you, stallions? You said they would never let you breed to mares that weren't Thoroughbreds," Temon said. "That's the good thing about being a stallion. The humans never find out much about the wild," Bandit said. Temon wanted to go and find the fillies before anything else happened. "Well, if you'll excuse me, I must find those fillies," he said. Temon wasn't sure where to start looking first. "Let me out and I'll help you," he said. "Alright," Temon said as he walked down to the gate and took the latch in his teeth and unlocked the gate. "Nice," Bandit said. "You'll have to teach me that trick. Follow me." He walked along the fence line. He took a longer way to avoid the stable, so the humans would not catch him and put him in his stall. He headed toward Argo's field which was closer to the track path than his field. Temon followed along quietly.

Angel had begun to catch Eight Belles, but now a familiar scent caught her attention."Temon!"She squealed. She wheeled on the spot and went towards the fence. The rider clung to her as she skidded to a stop at the fence line."What are you doing here?"She whinnied. Her rider leapt from her."Oh no!"She thought."Hello there fella, not from around here are you?"He said, holding out his gloved hand for Temon to sniff.

Temon gave a low groan and stayed back from the human. The stallion who had led him down he was by a fence and saw the human near Temon. Bandit whinnied to get the human's attention away from Temon.
