The valley had rang all day with the sounds of two year old colts fighting for the right to remain in the herd.Fianally,it was down to two,Thunder and Snape.

Thunder snorted,and kept rearing,his pillars thrashing.One of his daggers struck right across Snape's face,and there was a scar across it.Snape got mad and was attacking Thunder.Thunder kept attacking back.He wasen't giving up.Remembering what he did to Snape that hurt him,He got hold on his withers where the old scar was and began nipping and tearing him.

Snape cried out and bucked him off.He then pinned the smaller colt beneath him.He smiled at him,a nasty smile stallions often wore on their faces during battle."Wait!"A cry came from inside the herd.Angel stepped out."Daddy,shouldn't your new rule be put into effect?"Spirit had recently said that there would be a loving day for everyone to find their love.Spirit nodded to her.Angel smiled nastily at Thunder,"I did this so he can stay!"She whispered,"As well as you,though you don't deserve it!"

Thunder snorted.He didn't care she was a girl.He hated his sister now.Rearing and knocking her to the ground,he squealed.Watching her run off in fright,what had he just done?Looking at all the furious mare's faces,a tear came down his face as he ran off.

Angel watched him from her hiding place.Spirit then gathered the herd together,and told them,"Begin your search!"Angel walked into the midst of the herd and started singing.

Thunder kept running.Not watching what he was doing,he ran outside the boarder of the cimarron herd and into the bachleor grounds.Why did this have to happen?Thunder shut his eyes and began crying slowly,but just kept running.He began singing.

Thunder pinned his ears.Lord,he went into the bachleors land!Atleast they did't know who he was.Making up a name,he replied."None of your beezwacks.I'm Abaccus."He snorted.

"Might wanna watch your mouth sonny boy!"He laughed."What are you?Two?"He laughed again."Come on,I'll take ya to Cham and he'll figure out what to do."
By this time,Angel was worried."Snape,we gotta go find him.I can't stand around wondering."Snape and Angel began to gallop off to find him.

Thunder giggled but was scared.He was afraid Cham would reconize him.While no one was looking,he rolled in a pile of mud,making his coat darker.As they reached Cham,he became silent.

"Found a two year old.Thought you'd like to see him.Smelled like Cimarron,but most of the other herds have joined them,so he might be from Utah's herd."He said,keeping his voice lower and his eyes shining boldly.The two had had an argument over a mare recently,and hadn't forgiven each other.

"Alright," Cham said in a calm and serious voice as he turned to face him. His head held high, but his nose near he's chest. His neck had a prefect curve to it when he did this. His long black mane cascaded on the side of his neck. He tail remained still not ever a breeze to blow it. His buckskin coat shined in what little light shown through the forest trees' branches. The cuts and bite marks of the last battle Cham had had with Dal still healing shown. And many scars from his past as well. Cham lifted his head and looked at this young colt. He came a little closer, but kept his distance. "Definitely Cimarron," Cham said as he smelt the new scent of this colt. Cham looked over this colt. He was smart enough to know the young one had rolled in mad. He did not let on to it though. "What is your purpose of being here," he asked the colt.

Thunder paused.They knew he was cimarron.Thunder wanted nothing to do with the cimarron's anymore.He would become a loner or bachleor."I have no purpose in the cimarron.I have come to ask to join you all."Thunder said.Snorting gently,he waited,hopiing they wouuld accept.

"What makes you think you can just waltz on up to the stallions in this herd and come to me to ask if you could join," Cham said. Cham was just giving him a hard time. He liked to fool around with young colts' minds every now and then. It wasn't every day they got new young members to their herd.
