Spirit raised his head."You saved my life.I thought you....."His voice trailed,for more people swarmed to make sure the Colonel was alright.Spirit,though his legs were tethered,stod,and glared proudly at them all.He then dragged himself over to Cham to assist him in getting up.

Cham's breathing became heavy. He was having trouble breathing. He was sweating and shaking. The bullet hit him in the chest, luckily not straight on. It had hit toward his shoulder. It missed his heart. "Horses can...change," Cham said. "I didn't want...to see anyone...get hurt."

"Spirit was worried,but what would he do,no people would help him.He was about to ask Cham if he could get up,when a sharp pain went from his backside up his body.He wheeled and saw one soldier had put him at gunpoint,and when he turned to see his wound,there was no blood,only a brightly colored feather.Another pain this time in his neck.He was being tranquilized!His vison began to haze,he whinnied but the noise sounded weirdly distorted.The poor stallion swayed on the spot,then fell to the ground beside Cham,completely knocked out.

Thunder squealed and reared as Spirit got knocked out.He tried galloping over to them,but shoved into the Colonel.Snorting and rearing,he knocked the colonel down.Thunder was getting a bit of his memory back.Him growing up with Spirit atleast.

The stallion lay,as if sleeping,but one blazing eye was still half open,as if he felt the need to watch the world around him."All the horses have gone mad!"One person shouted."Grab him.Grab him!"Another shouted.People flung ropes chains and other things at Thunder.It wasn't working."GET HIM OUTTA HERE!"A seargent said.People then began to herd Thunder out.

Thunder wasen't leaving,Nor was he being trained.He bit the soldiers and reared.Then,he paused.He was having a flashback.It was a stormy day,and someone named Rain just gave birth to a colt looking like Thunder.Thunder snorted and shook his head.Was his father and mother Spirit and Rain?Thunder was confused.Scared,he collapsed.

Cham watched as Spirit fell to the ground. Cham tried to move, but it hurt so much to move. Utah watched this horrible event unfold before his eyes. He was helpless. He stopped and as soon as he stopped the soldier came at him and grabbed the reins and the ropes. He pulled away from them, but they did not let go.

Thunder still laying on the ground,had enough.He got up with confidince.He was going to beat the Colonel just like Spirit did.Snorting,he pinned his ears.Looking around,he tried to run but the ropes around his legs kept him where he was.He tried rearing.

"Put that horse in the corral," The Colonel ordered. "We'll see how he does with a human on his back. And bring me my hard crop for this."

Thunder snorted as the men controled him and put him in the corral.They didn't untie the ropes on his legs,cause if they left him on it would be easier to tame.Thunder snorted and pinned his ears,his teeth showingHe couldn't be tamed...Or could he??

The Colonel came up and some handed him his crop. He hit against a post to show how hard it was. The smack of the crop against the post made everyone turn and watch. He walked toward Thunder. Glaring at the horse as he came closer.

Thundr gasped and pinned his ears as the colonel whipped the post and came close to him.There was a dent in the post.He couldn't imangine what would happen if it him him.Snorting,he tried to rear.

The Colonel climbed onto the fence and hopped over it and was in the saddle in seconds. He grabbed the reins firmly. And kept Thunder in check as they stood still.

Thunder snorted.How could he be tamed with the ropes on his legs?Some men came over and took them off,then thunder went in action.He reared,bucked and everything.He leaped into the air but the colonel stayed.Then,he remembered what spirit did.Thunder slammed into the boards.Nothing happened.He then had enough.He tried to grab the reins,but the colonel had then too tight.Snorting and stopping,he shivered in tiredness.

The Colonel had the whip ready to use if the horse pulled any stunts. He waited to see if the horse would react to anything.
