"It's nothing for you to be concerned about," Temon said. He looked to Esperanza. He wasn't going to say anything unless she wanted to tell Spirit. "Esperanza. Spirit's here," Temon whispered to her.

Esperanza nodded at her son."My arthritis was very bad last night Spirit."She said."Temon made it stop."Spirit wasn't quite convinced,but he left his mother alone without a word,which wasn't uncommon these days because of his pining for his oldest foals.

Temon got up after her and followed her back to the herd. Not many mares were up, but those who were gave them a bit of a strange look.

Temon followed her lead. Some mares whispered something, but stopped if they were looked at.

The mares were just surprised to see Esperanza walking out of the woods with that old wanderer that had joined the herd a while back. Temon came up beside her and tried to nuzzle her.
