The rain continued into the morning. The hermit ran out into the rain carrying all the feed for the horse, mule and dogs in he's sack. "I know I'm late feeding you all," he said as he ran to the door on the side of the run-in where he kept some supplies.

The hermit knew the dogs would be in there so he had their food with him. He started to pour food for everyone. Mary slowly got up and headed he's way.

The hermit placed to bowls down on the ground for the dogs. Then he started to pour the grain for Jenny and Mary. Mary came closer and waited. Chance charged for he's food-bowl.

"Slow down Chance,It's not going anywhere."Jenny said as she too stood patiently,though a St.Bernard pup had just sped from under her,only missing her foreleg because she'd picked it up.

Chance growled to himself. Mary just stood there eating her grain. The hermit patted all of them like he usually did before heading off to the shack.
