Dal's cold heart heated even more.it had been a long time since he'd been nuzzled out of care and not his own force.

Cham saw the way Dal looked and he wasn't going to say anything. Dal had been through so much in his life and now he was getting the chance to help out with a new life on the way and get to be with the mare he loved. And there was no way Cham wanted to stand in front of that.

Cham didn't know what to do. He was even starting to think that maybe Dal should raise the foal. Cham had no idea if he would be able to stay around that long. Dal seemed to soften a little bit when Lilly was around. Cham didn't want to interfere with another that would stand in between them. He knew that Dal was problem still holding something against him.

Dal broke away from Lily and asked Cham to walk with him."What was with the looks you were throwing?"He said,flipping his mane so it stuck up like it had when he was a teenager.
