Some one else was following Utah,not someone he be pleased to see at all.Katarna and her pack were attracted by the blood on the path.Spirit and Temon followed Utah's scent."Wait."Spirit said when he saw the blood on the log.He inspected it closely."He's was here about 15 minutes ago."He snorted.He went around the log,then he saw them in the mud.Wolf prints.They were much fresher than Utah's."We're not the only ones following him."

"We got to move faster," Temon said as he galloped on.
Utah heard something behind him. He pinned his ears back. He was not in the mood to have anyone around. He kept on galloping.

Katarna leapt back."Now why would I do that?I only wish..........TO KILL YOU!"She snarled,leaping at his thick throat.The rest of the pack,about twenty in all,latched on.

Utah reared up and hit Katarna before she could get his throat. He started bucking and kicking out at the other wolves.
Temon heard the sound of wolves. "Quick! This way," Temon shouted as he galloped ahead faster and faster with ever step.

Spirit sped ahead of him and saw Utah ahead.He ramed his brother,only to squash the wolves between them.

Utah saw Spirit. He kept on fighting the wolves. Temon joined in, kicking the wolves out of his way.

The three all got scratched up pretty bad,but the wolves then retreated looking for easier prey.

Temon breathed heavily. That had taken quite a bit out of him. Utah looked to Spirit and then glared at Temon. "What are you two doing here," he said.

Temon turned as well, he knew that Utah would have to sort things out.
Utah just looked at them and then fell to the ground on one side. "Just kill me now!" he cried. "Just kill me!" He said through his tears.
