ooc: I know it's long. lol. Sorry, got caught up in it.
It was almost morning. The sun hardly showed over the tops of the mountains. The early birds were out chirping peacefully as they woke in what little light there was that early morning. The morning was quite quiet. The grass was still covered with dew. In the grass of the meadow, tracks could be seen where dew once was and now sat the grass flatted or in different directions. Someone has tracked through here. It was not just any animal, it was a horse. There were very few horses that were up this early wandering around in the morning. Farther in the distance, a chestnut horse could been seen. It was Utah. He had woke early and could not go back to sleep. He had decided to go for a walk and enjoy the peaceful morning. But the morning would not remain that peaceful for long.
Utah decided to pick up his pace. He canter across the meadow. As he cantered, his hoof beat was the only beat of hooves that could be heard for a little distance. As he continued, he came onto the sound of another set of hooves. They were at a much faster beat. There was a horse galloping somewhere amongst the forest. Utah cantered over to the edge of the woods and cantered along the edge. He wanted to find out it this horse that was galloping was in trouble or not. Utah continued on for a while, when he heard the sound coming closer. Utah slowed his pace to a trot. The thundering hooves he had heard earlier where getting closer and closer. Utah slowed to a walk and looked into the forest as he walked. Then as he continued, all of a sudden an other horse came charging toward him. "Look out!" the other horses shouted. But it was too late. The two horses collided with a loud thud. Both for the horses fell to the ground and went rolling down the small hill about half way. They both lay there for a second, try to figure out what had happened. The other horse stood up first. He walked over to Utah. "Are you alright," he asked as he looked down at Utah.
"I think so," Utah said as he got up. He shook his head when he stood up. He looked at the other horses. It was a stallion. The other horse was about the same size as him, but maybe an inch or two taller. He was a chestnut as well. But his chestnut coat was a bit darker. And he has a blaze running down his face. His muzzle was black and he had two white sock on opposite sides of his body. One on the right front and one on the left hind-leg. "Next time watch where your going," Utah said.
"Sorry, I was only trying to save time," he said.
"What for," Utah asked.
"Well, we're only young for so long," the stallion replied. The stallion looked at Utah. He saw that Utah as a bit smaller, and was a chestnut as well, but a little lighter. And he had a white mark on his forehead. "Wait, I've heard of you," the stallion said.
"You have?" Utah asked surprisingly.
"Yeah, you're Spirit's brother right," he asked.
"Half brother," Utah said.
"A son of Temon, right," he asked.
Utah was puzzled. What was this stallion heading for. "Yeah, I'm his only son," Utah said.
"You can't be the only son of Temon. I'm a son of Temon," the stallion said. "I've heard of you, Utah."
"Wait, what?! You mean your Temon's as well," Utah asked.
"Yep, his first son," he answered. "The name's Enre."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hang on. You mean to say, that my father actually has another son," Utah said.
"That's what I said," Enre said.
"I don't believe this," Utah said.
"Well, believe it," Enre said.
"Why have you come," Utah demanded.
"Like I said, I have to live my life while I'm still young," Enre said.
"But why through this part of the valleys," Utah asked.
"I have the right to roam the lands," Enre said. "No one owns it."
"There are herd boundaries, you know," Utah said.
"So, it's not like I care," Enre said.
"You should. And what make you think I believe that you are a son of Temon," Utah said. He's ears went back slightly.
"I have he's speed, strength, and looked," Enre said. "While you...you kind of have his color," he laughed.
"What are you trying to imply," Utah said. "That you're exactly like him and I'm not like him at all?"
"Exactly. It took you long enough to catch on," Enre laughed.
Utah's ears went flat back. For a son of Temon, this stallion had a lot of nerve coming up to another stallion, who is the son of Temon, and making fun of him to his face. "I don't care who you are, but why should I believe anything you say," Utah said.
"You hardly know me. So, why would I lie," he said.
"That's the reason I shouldn't trust you," Utah said.
"What am I upsetting you," Enre said. "If you think you're like Temon, why don't you fight?"
Utah stopped for a second. "I'm not one for fighting," Utah said.
"What too scared to fight," Enre said.
"No," Utah said as he grew angrier every second.
"Come on, fight! Prove to me that you are a Temon," Enre laughed.
"Shut up," Utah said. He charged at Enre.
Enre dodged him. He laughed at Utah. "Is that all you've got," he asked.
"No," Utah said as he kicked Enre in the side.
Enre took a few steps back. "Now the fun begins," Enre said as he lunged forward and hit Utah in the side.
Utah went back a few steps, but kept on his legs. Enre charged at him again, before Utah could make another move. Enre turned and kicked quickly at Utah. He hit Utah in the neck. Utah fell to the ground. Enre stood waiting. "Come on. Get up," he said.
Utah got up again. He lunged forward again at Enre. Enre dodged him again.
"You call yourself, the son of Temon," Enre said. "You fight nothing like him."
"Shut up," Utah yelled.
Whinnies of stallions fighting could be heard for miles. Their cries of anger could be heard. Well, mostly Utah's cries of anger.
"Come on," Enre said. "Fight like a stallion and not a colt!"
"Shut up already!!!" Utah said as he rammed Enre. Enre fell to the ground. "Now look who's talking."
Enre got up quickly before Utah could try anything. Enre reared up and used his front legs to kick at Utah. Utah got hit on the right eye. A bruise started to form right away. Utah could still see out of his eye. No damage had been done, but it hurt. Utah charged at Enre. Enre came down quickly and dodged Utah. As Utah went by, Enre kicked Utah in the hind-quarters. Bruises were showing quickly. Enre was stronger than Utah and faster. Utah couldn't let this other stallion beat him. Utah turned and reared up. Enre reared up as well. They started to fight as they reared. Utah was becoming worn out. Enre still had plenty of energy left. Utah just didn't want to face the truth. He wanted to show this stallion that he was as good as Temon and may be even better.
All of a sudden another stallion came thundering down the hill toward the two stallions fighting.
