Spirit stood out in the field,his heart burdened with guilt,despair,and depression.He thought of his innocent colt Thunder,who had done nothing wrong,yet been stolen away from him.He heard innocent laughter behind him and saw a pair of cute foals playing away from the herd who were grazing higher on a hill.Rage mounted inside his body at the humans for stealing his child,and with no warning or thought,he charged them.One quickly got out of his way,but the other stumbled.The mighty stallion bugled loudly before smashing his hooves onto the foal's delicate body.He stood over it,deepest agression showing on his face,and the look of a monster.The foal's mother screamed,bringing the rest of the herd to attention on Spirit.

Utah looked up from where he graze. He looked in horror as he saw the foal at Spirit hooves.

Esperanza's head shot up and all around her were screams of despair and worry."SPIRIT!"She shouted as she saw what he had done.Her words snapped Spirit back and his eyes fell onto the foal at his feet,face still frozen in horror.He stepped back,questions flying in his head.But in moments her found himself between his own two Marshals.This meant he was to be trialed,'but for what?'He wondered.

Rain cantered over,mouth wide open."Spirit Strider Cimarron,what in the name of lord are you trying to do!?"Rain yelled,checking the foal over.She was upset aswell that her son was gone,but would never hurt another.Snorting,a tear fell from her eye,mad at Spirit that he would do such a thing.

Utah looked at the two. He looked at Spirit. 'How could he?' was the one question that raced through he's mind.

Spirit opened his mouth to speak,but not I sound came out.He swallowed and said,"I don't know what came over me.One minute I felt my heart breaking the next...."Armela one of the Marshals said to Rain,"The council's beginning,your ladyship.You may wish to have your say in what's to be done."Spirit looked at them."I don't even get a trial?!In my lands?!"The MArshals stopped out of earshot of the gathering council.Spirit was not allowed to hear his sentence until after.

Rain snorted,tears falling from her eyes."I..I..Spirit i'm sorry.Haave him banned for a while,Until he learns his lesson."Rain crys,galloping off.

Utah canter up to Spirit. "What have you done," Utah said. The look of horror still upon he's face. He was as if, he were a colt who had always looked up to him and now, he's faith was shattered.
Temon came out of the herd. He saw what had happened. And he saw the scene of he's son facing Spirit. He knew they were in for a harder time than just losing a leader. He knew how some would take it. And he knew Utah would not take it easily.

"Rainey!Wait!"Spirit shouted after her.Armela looked at her companion."Tell the council what the ladyship has decided.That might overule them."The other mare went to Esperanza and whispered to her then returned to Spirit and Armela.Esperanza Spoke to the gathered group."Rain wishes to have Spirit expelled from our midst until further notice.Do we agree this is just and fair?"The herd all agreed.Armela and the other mare moved aside,and Spirit was chased rather harshly away from them,being bitten and kicked all the way.He simply stood on the outskirts,looking blank,amazed,and heart broken.

Temon turned away. He did not wish to see this scene. Even though Spirit was not he's son, it felt like he was. Utah looked out from the top of the hill, watching as Spirit ran from the herd. He turned away and walked right passed Sage and he's mother. He wanted to get away.

Esperanza's face was hidden against Sage's mane,who was comforting her and trying to explain to Rebel why Granna Espie was so upset."What would make my baby act this way?"Esperanza whimpered.Sage was about to answer when Utah stalked past her."Where are you going?"She snorted,getting frustrated with multi-tasking.

Sage hated that he needed to go now,while she had her hooves so full,but he needed his time and space.

Utah cantered off to the far woods to get away from everything and everyone.
Temon came up to Sage and gave a half smile to her. He had come to help her, knowing he's son wouldn't.
