Spirit finished his rounds as promised,and returned a bit after dusk.He sought out his beautiful mare,and lead her away from the others.Not so far that he couldn't save them if danger challenged,but far enough no one would see.

Rain looked across the valley,and into the cimarron herd.Most were asleep,but Thunder seemed to be trying to learn how to buck like his father taught him.Smiling to Spirit,she was ready.
